Well, it’s almost that time of year again for our youth and children here at FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH…Camp Time!
If you had the opportunity to go to Bible Camp when you were growing up, you know what a powerful, life-changing experience it can be. I know that for me personally, it was something I looked forward to on an annual basis as my parents did everything within their power to make it happen. Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Well, it’s almost that time of year again when our children and youth will be attending Summer Bible Camp. These are such special times in the life of a youngster growing up, and many of us have very fond memories of times spent at Camp during the summer. Logged in Members, CLICK HERE to view full text!
I’m writing to let you know how much you have been missed here at church in the past few months. I know we have spoken on the phone a few times regarding this, but I just wanted to express to you not only how much you are missed by us, but to also encourage you to make the house of God a priority in your lives. As we are all painfully aware, our community has been devastated by serious tornadoes. While we are thankful that the human toll was low, we must not forget the many members of our community who lost everything they own. For this reason, I am asking those who can to make a special offering that will be used to help the victims of the tornadoes. Logged in Members, CLICK HERE to view full text!
When Thomas Edison was 67 years old, spontaneous combustion broke out in his film room. Everything was destroyed. The next morning, Edison looked at the ruins and said, “There is great value in disaster. All our mistakes are burned up. Thank God we can start anew.” Three weeks after the fire, Edison managed to deliver the first phonograph. -Sermon Illustrations Logged in Members, CLICK HERE to view full text!
As we are all painfully aware, many people have been devastated by the Hurricane (Name). While we are thankful that the human toll was low, we must not forget the many people in these areas of our Country who lost everything they own. “Your letters have been a great help to our ministry. You’re right, thinking and thinking of what to say can wear you down... so your letters have been a great help. The letters continue to be a blessing to both Andrae and myself. Thank you for being faithful to helping so many in the ministry."

(Our sincere appreciation for the wonderful life of Andrae', and his music before being promoted to Heaven recently. Our loss, Heaven's gain).
"I hardly consider myself ever being at a loss for words, but churchletters.org has been an amazing blessing to me in reaching and connecting with friends, colleagues and ministry leaders. Sometimes I use an entire letter that speaks my heart. Other times I use just a phrase that helps me better articulate a letter I personally composed. I use it in letters, emails, more. It saves me a lot of time in the writing process. Churchletters.org sort of reminds of me of a composer writing a great song for a singer to sing. It's really cool because people love being appreciated and edified. Appreciation always wins over self promotion!"
