Letter to Church – Raising Missions Awareness

Missions Letter

Jesus said in: Mark 16:15 – “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.”

Those words spoken by the Lord are at the heart of our desire to share the Gospel with the world through our Missions giving here at First Christian Church. Sadly, the Great Commission has become for many people the “Great Omission”, as they have failed to realize the supreme importance Jesus placed on reaching the lost.

Remarkably, there are still many people around this world that have not yet heard the name of Jesus, and the freedom He offers through a life surrendered to Him. The Bible also tells us: Luke 19:10 -For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.” We are compelled to seek out those who are lost, and impart to them the Gospel message…or the Good News!

We Miss You in Church Letter

Miss you in Church Letter

I write briefly to let you know that you have been missed at church the past few weeks.

I trust all is well with you and your family, however, I wanted you to know that when you are not able to be with us, you are missed very much.

While life can be busy for all of us to the point it seems we have no time to just relax for awhile, I encourage you to place your relationship with the Lord and His family near the top of the list of priorities. I believe with all my heart that as we allow God to take His rightful place, many of the other areas of life find a way of working out as we are dependent upon His wisdom. James 1:5 says: If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.

Congratulations on Job Promotion

Job Promotion Congratulatory Letter

I wanted to take this opportunity to send a letter to congratulate you on the promotion you received on your job.

Harry Truman said the following: “I found that the men and women who got to the top were those who did the jobs they had in hand, with everything they had of energy and enthusiasm and hard work.”

How true it is that when we think about the quality of our job and not the quantity of our check, the second half of that equation often falls in line. We also realize that God is the ultimate rewarder of the efforts of men, and he is the one who exalts and promotes in reality. 1 Peter 5:6 – Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.

Congratulations on New Business

New Business Congratulations

I’m writing with a glad heart to congratulate you on launching your new business. I can only imagine the excitement you must feel right now over the blessing that God has granted you.

I trust that you are aware of not only the benefits you can reap from opening your own business, but the real possibility for setbacks. Your God-given strength and courage have aided you at each step toward this goal, and they will not abandon you as long as you seek guidance from Jesus Christ. Be mindful of the message Jesus gave us, that he is “the vine, ye are the branches. He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” (John 15:5) When we trust in and listen to Him, he will do the same and help us to achieve with Him what we could never do alone. A business founded on the values of Jesus can not only be a successful for its proprietor, but also for the entire community.

Death of a Child – Letter to Parents (Non-Churched)

(Note: Some churches send out Sympathy notes to families after reading of the death of loved ones in the obituaries. Letters such as this may be used thoughtfully and prayerfully).

I wanted to take a moment to send you this note on behalf of the congregation of First Christian Church to express our sympathy upon hearing of the loss of your child ____________.

The pain you are feeling at this time must be intense. Most likely, there are questions of “why” that are part of your thoughts, and even as you have shared with each other your thoughts and emotions.

While I may not be able to feel exactly what you are feeling right now, I want to assure you that I am ready and willing to listen to you, and share with you from my heart about the goodness of God.

College Graduation Congratulations

Graduation Congratulations

Dear (NAME),

It has come to my attention that you will soon be graduating from (NAME OF COLLEGE). That is no small feat, and you should be very proud of your accomplishments.

In a world where many do not have the ability to attend college, I also hope that you will take time to reflect on how blessed you are to have been given such an opportunity.

I am thrilled to see that you took that opportunity and followed through, even when I am sure there were times when you may have felt like giving up. Now that your time in college is nearing an end, you will face many important decisions.

Warm Christian Greetings!

On behalf of the Church board and congregation of First Christian Church, I just wanted to extend to you our congratulations on your graduation from High School.

You have worked hard for 13 years to hear your name announced over the loudspeaker, and walk on the stage and receive the diploma you have rightfully earned.

As you embark upon this new chapter of your life, I encourage you to do so with passion. Passion will take you “above and beyond” the call of duty, and will provide rewards beyond even your own expectations.
