Good morning, and welcome to this very special day of worship! Today is a day filled with gratitude, love, and honor, as we gather together not only to praise and glorify our Lord but also to express our deep appreciation for our beloved pastor.
Pastor Appreciation Day is a time for us to reflect on the countless ways our pastor has touched our lives—through powerful sermons, wise counsel, and unwavering dedication to the spiritual health of this congregation. We give thanks for the leadership, compassion, and tireless effort that our pastor pours into the life of this church every single day.
As we see the events unfolding in the Middle East, I felt it would be of value to write a letter to you during this tumultuous time.
The Bible says in Genesis 12:3 (NKJV) — 3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
In addition to that very plain directive from God Himself, we also see that we are encouraged to “pray for the peace of Jerusalem.” Psalm 122:6 (NKJV) — 6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May they prosper who love you.
I hope this message finds you well and that you are enjoying the summer. As we approach the new school year, we are once again reminded of the importance of equipping our children with the tools they need to succeed.
One way we can support our community is by providing backpacks filled with essential school supplies to children in need.
We are launching a “Back-to-School Backpack Drive” and are seeking your generous contributions to help us achieve this goal. We want to ensure that every child in our community starts the school year with confidence, fully prepared with the supplies they need.
As we come closer to Election Day, I wanted to take a few moments to send you this letter to encourage you to be sure to vote on (DATE).
However, before voting, I would like to ask you to do something of far greater importance, and that would be to PRAY for God's perfect will to be revealed in the upcoming election.
