These Church Benevolence Letters are a great way for churches to communicate effectively as they encourage people to bless and support this ministry that reaches so many who may be in need. Many are in the church already, while others are in the Community.
Written by a Pastor with over 35 years of ministry experience, they will be a great addition to your follow up efforts to reach your community for Christ!
“If anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him?” – 1 John 3:17
Dear Church Family,
As the cold winter months settle in, many in our community face the season without the warmth and resources they need. For some, a warm coat, a pair of gloves, or even a blanket can make all the difference between hardship and hope.
As followers of Christ, we are called to see the needs around us and respond with compassion. This winter, we are organizing a collection of essential items to be distributed to the needy in our community. We are asking for donations of items such as:
Remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.” – Hebrews 13:3
Dear Church Family,
Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am writing to invite you to be a part of an important outreach opportunity through our prison ministry. Each time we go, we bring not only the Word of God but also a simple, heartfelt gift—homemade cookies.
These cookies may seem small, but to the men and women receiving them, they carry a profound message: You are not forgotten. Christ’s love reaches even here. A cookie baked in love can soften a heart, spark a conversation, and open a door for the Gospel.
With the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays just around the corner, we are taking this opportunity to send a note to all who attend here at (NAME OF CHURCH) so that we might share a very special way to get involved in being a blessing to someone in need.
As you know, this time of year not only is a tremendous time of celebrating our thankfulness to the Lord as well as celebrating His birth, but even in the midst of all the festivities that take place, we are often reminded of the difficulties people go through as well. While the intention for families is not usually the desire to “keep up with the Jones’s” so to speak, there is a desire on the part of parents to bless their children with a few gifts.
Once again we are nearing that wonderful time of year in which we express our thanks and appreciation to God for all His blessings in our lives as we celebrate Thanksgiving.
Some may look at Thanksgiving as a quick holiday before the Christmas Season, but in reality, this is an extremely meaningful time as we who have been created by God show our gratitude.
That time of year is upon us again. It is the time of great joy and good cheer. As Christmas approaches, we as the Church reflect upon the greatest gift imaginable, our Lord Jesus Christ.
Undoubtedly, many of you have already made plans and done your shopping. Perhaps you have already purchased or made that special something for someone close to you. This is one of the joys of the Christmas season, but have you considered why we give at Christmas?
