Appeal to Assist Financially During Holidays to Bless Families

Dear (NAME),

Warm Holiday Greetings!

With the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays just around the corner, we are taking this opportunity to send a note to all who attend here at (NAME OF CHURCH) so that we might share a very special way to get involved in being a blessing to someone in need.

As you know, this time of year not only is a tremendous time of celebrating our thankfulness to the Lord as well as celebrating His birth, but even in the midst of all the festivities that take place, we are often reminded of the difficulties people go through as well. While the intention for families is not usually the desire to “keep up with the Jones’s” so to speak, there is a desire on the part of parents to bless their children with a few gifts.

Sanctity of Human Life Sunday Offering

Greetings in Christ,

Sanctity of Human Life Sunday is on (DATE), and this year we will be receiving a special offering for our local crisis pregnancy center by the name of (NAME OF CENTER).

Most of you who are part of this community know the tremendous work they do as they serve young ladies who are pregnant. Some of the ways they bless our community is by providing much-needed counseling and encouragement. Also, the ladies receive supplies for their children, such as diapers, baby bottles, strollers, and car seats.

Contribution Letter for Taxes 2021

(Note: This letter is basically the same as 2020 Tax Letter, so if you used it before, you may want to make some minor changes)

Greetings in Christ!

Enclosed you will find your record of giving during the past year of 2021. Carefully examine this record and compare it with your records. If you see any discrepancies at all, get in touch with us as soon as possible.

Even though the past two years have held tremendous challenges for all of us, please know that we do not take the sacrificial giving of people in times of difficulty lightly.  I'm so glad we serve a God who continues to be generous to us!

Giving Tuesday Letter for Church

Greetings in Christ!

God is good! All the time!

The Bible tells us this in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NKJV) 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

I know that may seem like a challenging thing to do, but if we took time to think about the blessings of God in our lives, we would be far better off than dwelling on the things we see as unfavorable. There have been many times in my life that the difficult things have turned into blessings!

Every year around this time, we know the progression of the way things seem to work, at least in the United States.

First, there is Thanksgiving on the last Thursday of the month. Families get together to enjoy each other's company, and aren't we learning not to take that for granted anymore?

Raise Money for Church Playground

Greetings in Christ!

It has often been said that “Children are the church of the future.” While that may be true to an extent, I would choose to differ with that idea as an absolute.

We here at (FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH) believe they are also the church of “now”! So we are happy to have a church filled with people who see the value of reaching the next generation for Jesus.

As adults, most of us can remember back when we were children the joy of spending time on the playground. Whether it was at school or the local playground, it was an exciting time for the children. In addition, parents could spend some valuable time connecting while the children played.

We want to take our ministry to children a step further. We are blessed with an area on our property that would be a wonderful place to build a playground.

As you may know, this kind of thing does take finances, and for that, we are reaching out to our members and attendees to assist. But, unfortunately, playground equipment and materials can be pretty expensive, and we pray God will lead us to the right place.

If you would like to help with this project, will you please mark your giving envelope “Playground” and give it accordingly? We ask that this gift be over and above your regular giving since the church's expenses continue.

If you would like to discuss this project further, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.

May God richly bless you for considering this special offering request!

In Christ,
Pastor John Doe
