On Sunday, December 11, 2017, we as a church will be holding a special church anniversary service. We will be commemorating 104 years of ministry at First Christian Church. We are planning to hold one service that morning instead of our usual two, and our time will be followed by a catered luncheon downstairs in the Fellowship Hall and then Christmas caroling in the neighborhood.
First Christian Church has ministered to our community for more than 100 years. During that time, we have been led by nine pastors (four of whom will be joining our celebration). We have occupied three different buildings and been blessed by thousands of people who have chosen to make us their church home for a time.
Our church anniversary service will include a time of remembrance, including a short message from each of the four former pastors who will be in attendance, as well as a slideshow of memories collected throughout the years by faithful parishioners.
Please help us get the word out!
It is our prayer that you will join us for this very special celebration! If you are currently in contact with former members/attenders of FCC, please make sure to extend an invitation to them as well! If you would like for the church to send them an invitation. Please call the office and provide their name and current mailing address and we will be happy to do so.
The catered luncheon will be our gift to all of you and there will be no charge. However, we do need to have an approximate count to ensure that we prepare enough food. We are also looking for several people who would be willing to drive the church vans during our caroling time in the afternoon. If you could kindly fill out the card enclosed with this letter and drop it in the mail, we would be so grateful.
We look forward to celebrating with you at our Church Anniversary Service!
