Appreciation Letter to Long Time Children’s Sunday School Teacher
Dear (FIRST NAME),
Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
Teachers are like pastors: you assume the responsibility and privilege of sharing God’s Word in a way that makes it easy for others to understand. Explaining scripture to children, especially, is neither a small or easy task. On the contrary, the task of relating the abstract or challenging aspects of our Creator is one that requires a special set of gifts from the Lord, and I, for one, am thankful that you have put your spiritual gifts to use so willingly over the years. Appreciation Letter to Long Time Adult Sunday School Teacher
Dear (FIRST NAME),
Pastors and teachers both assume the awesome honor and responsibility of providing adults with deeper insight and understanding of God’s Word. As we both know, this job is satisfying, demanding, and challenging.
I wanted to take this opportunity to send you a note to thank you so much for volunteering your time to teach in the (NAME OF CLASS OR MINISTRY).
While it seems like we tend to ask for volunteers quite a bit here at the church, rest assured, we are always thrilled when someone steps up to “answer the call” and get involved in a way perhaps they never have before! It’s exciting to see people begin to grow in their faith as they reach out to be a blessing to others! Logged in Members, CLICK HERE to view full text!

I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father. – 2 John 1:4
Greetings in the precious name of the Lord! First, let me extend a heartfelt thank you for all of the work you do in our Sunday school. It is true that our children are the future, both in the world and in the church. The time you and the other teachers spend teaching them and nurturing them in the Lord is a true blessing to all of us. Logged in Members, CLICK HERE to view full text!
I wanted to take a moment to send you a note to invite you to join us for a special class for Water Baptism on Sunday, November 15 at 10:00 AM during the morning Sunday School hour.
One of the most evident testimonies of the Salvation that has taken place on the inside is the act of Water Baptism on the outside. It is our way of showing the world what has taken place, as well as identifying with the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. Logged in Members, CLICK HERE to view full text!
I just wanted to take a moment to write a brief note to let you know how much your work as Sunday School Superintendent is appreciated here at First Christian Church.
The lessons that are taught here by our faithful teachers are truly an inspiration to the people, and no doubt you have inspired the teachers to give their best far before entering the classroom to teach. Logged in Members, CLICK HERE to view full text!
