Well, it’s that time of year again! Christmas is such a wonderful and joyous occasion as we celebrate the birth of Christ by giving gifts (and receiving some too), as well as spending time with families and loved ones, and so much more.
As we are all painfully aware, our community has been devastated by a serious hurricane. While we are thankful that the human toll was low, we must not forget the many members of our community who lost everything they own. It is with a great sense of burden and sadness in my heart as I prepare this note to you. Like you, I have seen such utter devastation and calamity unfolding before our eyes in the aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti.
I wanted to take a moment to send you this brief note to inform you of the tremendous giving opportunity being made available to us by Franklin Graham and the ministry team at Samaritan’s Purse.
Every year at this time, a special emphasis is made on ministering the love of Jesus Christ in a very practical way by providing gifts to needy children all around the world, who would otherwise never know the joy of receiving gifts at Christmas time.
