Christmas Letter - Consider the Less Fortunate

Dear

This time of year is amazing! It’s a wonderful time when we cast our focus on the miracle of Christ’s birth over 2,000 years ago, as He left the splendor of heaven to humble Himself and walk the dusty roads of Israel speaking life and healing into the lives of the people.

I still believe we serve the same God today! How many lives we have seen come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and their lives have been completely changed by His power. For people who know the Lord, it’s so much more than endless gifts and expenses at this time of year, but it’s about living a relationship with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords on a daily basis.

On behalf of the entire staff here at NAME OF CHURCH, I wanted to take this opportunity to wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas! Our prayer is that you are experiencing the freedom and life that comes as you walk in obedience and faith on this great journey to Heaven.

I want to challenge you to take some time to think of those less fortunate. I’m reminded of the fact that when Jesus was here, He often went out of His way to heal the broken-hearted, as well as those society looked down upon as “unworthy”. When the people brought their children to Him for blessing, even though His disciples did their best to shelter the Lord from them, He made it clear that they were welcome, and as a matter of fact, we must come to Him in the same attitude the Children come to Him.

Matthew 9:14 – Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Allow God the opportunity to use you during this joyous season!

We trust you know you are always welcome to attend our services this time of year, and of course, throughout the year and it’s good to know Christ is not only available in the crisis moments, but also during the times of victory!

Blessings in Christ,

Pastor John Doe
