Church Christmas Letter - Special Christmas Offering

Christmas Greetings!

We have just come through a season of Thanksgiving in which we offered thanks in so manys to the Lord for the many blessings we enjoy in our lives.  No matter what we have been through in this past year, I am of the firm conviction that each and every one of us are able to find not only one thing, but many things to be thankful for!

Christmas is a wonderful time of year in which we give and receive gifts all in celebration and honor of our Savior, Jesus Christ, whose birthday we celebrate.  Yet, I am often puzzled at our joy in sharing, giving, and receiving of these gifts with so many others, when in actuality we should think of Christ not only primarily, but first!  (After all, how many Birthday parties have you gone to where the guests exchanged gifts, and the one having the Birthday received nothing?)

It is time for our Annual Christmas Offering in which we are given the opportunity to bless the Lord's house (the Church) with an extra special gift to go toward a special project.

(INSERT PROJECT DETAILS HERE)

Would you take a moment to prayerfully consider a gift towards this Christmas Offering?  If you are able to give (over and above your regular giving), would you please take a moment to fill out the enclosed envelope, drop your offering inside, and bring it with you on Sunday morning, December 22nd when this offering will be received?

If you are unable to be present that day, you may feel free to give at any other time during the month of December, however, please be sure to mark your envelope "CHRISTMAS OFFERING" so the funds will go to the correct place.

Even if you are only able to give an amount below what you would like to give, please don't feel it's not good enough!  I have no doubt God is pleased when we take a sacrificial step of faith (or leap) to be a blessing during this season of giving.

We appreciate each and every one of you and your love for the local church!  What a privelege it is to be a part of the family of God!

Blessings in Christ,

Pastor John Doe
