It is with a sense of sadness that I must write to you to inform you that your Membership in First Christian Church has been revoked upon verification of an adulterous relationship.
As you know, Membership in the local church is a great honor and privilege and should not be taken lightly. Our Constitution and By-Laws clearly state that such behavior is grounds for removal from the Membership roll as stated in Article ______, Section _______.
Congratulations on the recent renewal of your wedding vows. What God has joined together, let no man set asunder. God has blessed you with a renewed spirit and love for each other inn what is considered one of the greatest institutions ordained by God – marriage.
With this being the first Wedding Anniversary you will spend since the passing of your wife/husband, I want to assure you that we are thinking of you, and praying that God will undergird you with His strength.
I realize that nothing can ever really replace the love in your heart that you feel for your husband/wife that you were married to until his/her passing. Dreams shared, mountains climbed, valleys crossed, and much more was part of that special relationship that you enjoyed.
The entire congregation of First Christian Church joins me in extending heartfelt sympathy on the passing of your wife. One of the greatest bonds of relationships we have is the one that exists between husband and wife, and the breaking of that bond no doubt brings unspeakable pain.
I just wanted to take this opportunity to send you a letter to let you know that I am thinking of you and praying that God will undergird you with His peace and comfort on May 15.
