Cover Letter to Re-Gather for Worship during Coronavirus

(Important note: This is ONLY a cover letter and not a plan to re-open.  Every church will be different depending on your location and community.  We have posted a helpful link at the bottom of this letter which will help you consider proper procedures to open your church again).

Dear Church Family,

I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know how much we appreciate your support, prayers, and patience during this unprecedented time.

Little did we realize how long this process would take when we ceased our regular church gatherings in addition to group events. As you can imagine, the task of opening our church for services once again will take a lot more thought than closing things down for a while.

Enclosed, you will find the plan we will be implementing here at (NAME OF CHURCH). We do understand that several things will be different than before, but we do trust and pray any changes will be temporary.

Our desire from the very beginning has been the health and safety of our members and attendees. This desire will continue to be the case as we move forward.

Condolence Letter Covid Death

Greetings in Christ,

On behalf of your church family and the leadership of (NAME OF CHURCH), I wanted to be sure to express our deepest condolences to you and your family during this difficult time.

This pandemic has been extremely challenging for so many people, yet I cannot think of anything more difficult than the loss of a family member. So many, just like you, have had to watch from a distance without any real personal contact as loved ones pass from life to death.

We Miss Our Church Family – During Coronavirus

We Miss our Church Family during Coronavirus

Dear (NAME),

I wanted to take a moment to send this letter to let you know how much we miss meeting together as a church family during this time of battling the Coronavirus.

While we know and realize the “church” is not a building, but the people who make up the body of Christ, there's little doubt in all our minds this is not the way any of us envision what church will be going forward.

Someone once said, “you don't know what you have until it's gone.” Of course, the church is not “gone” in a literal sense, but not meeting together sure does make me appreciate what we had! Yet, the thing that keeps me going is the realization this is not a situation that will last forever.

Thank you for Joining us for Mother’s Day (During Coronavirus)

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for joining with us for worship on Mother's Day 2020, whether it was online or on-site!

We often make the statement in life, “we've never done it this way before”, and to be quite honest, this is how we feel regarding much of what is taking place during this challenging time.

As Mothers, you are navigating things you never thought would be part of your “job description” as a Mother!

A Tribute to Mothers Speech (During Coronavirus)

As we take the time once again to pause and appreciate Mothers, we cannot ignore the fact that this year is different than any other year we have done so.

As we continue to navigate through these difficult times in our Nation and world, we wanted to take a few moments to give a “shout-out” to all Mothers.

We often hear appreciation for those who are on the front lines making sure we have food in the stores, in addition to people responding to emergencies and other professions that are such a blessing to all of us.
