Second Sunday in Advent Church Letter or Welcome – Faith

Greetings in Jesus the King!

Welcome! Today is the second Sunday in the Advent season.

Throughout the service, on this special Sunday, we will focus on the theme of “Faith.”  The Word of God makes it clear that we can't even approach God without having Faith in our hearts.

Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV) 6 But without Faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Fourth Sunday in Advent Church Letter or Welcome – Peace

Greetings in Jesus!

Welcome! We are inching ever closer to Christmas day, the day that we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, the light of the world. We are coming to that realization that God is in our midst. As the prophet says:

Thanksgiving Greetings!

God is good all the time, and all the time, God is good!

While a statement like that may sound a bit “cliche,” we must realize it's true! Much of the world considers Thanksgiving as just another excuse to throw a party or watch football all day, we, as believers, know it goes far deeper than that.

In addition, we know that Thanksgiving is not just a “day,” but it's a mindset! The Bible shares many scriptures on the importance of being thankful, giving thanks, and even entering into times of worship WITH thanksgiving!

Psalm 100:4 (NKJV) 4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him and bless His name.
