As the Christmas Season is now upon us, I am writing a letter to you that has been in my heart for some time now.
While we don't like to share often concerning the financial needs here at (NAME OF CHURCH), the leadership has sensed this would be an appropriate time to reach out in honesty and, yes, even a sense of urgency.
While we are mindful of the faithful and consistent giving of so many within our congregation, lately our financial challenges have become more of a concern than usual.

As the Christmas season approaches, it brings with it a time of reflection, joy, and profound gratitude. In this season of Advent, we are reminded of the greatest gift ever given – the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is a time to celebrate the hope, peace, love, and joy that comes from God.
I want to encourage you to remember those in other areas of the world, especially at this time as war continues. I'm reminded once again of the fact that the only time there will ever be peace fully and completely on this earth is when the Prince of Peace is ruling and reigning!

As we celebrate the Christmas Season this year by decorating, shopping for gifts, baking tasty goodies, and so much more, I encourage each of us to be prayerful about the situation in Israel.
The story of the birth of Christ in Luke chapter two is one that we turn to at this time of year in our churches and family gatherings on Christmas Day. One of the verses in that passage of scripture says this: Luke 2:14 (NKJV) — 14: “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”
