We are thrilled that you were able to join us for our Christmas Service! What a joy it is to come together to celebrate and appreciate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
I trust that your visit here at (NAME OF CHURCH) was one you enjoyed and felt welcome. We do our best to provide an atmosphere where visitors and guests experience a sense of belonging, even though for many, it may be the first time to ever be at our church.
I just wanted to take a moment to reflect on all that you do in your service as a church board member and let you know that I appreciate your dedication to this important role in the body of our church.
You have helped see to it that our church fulfills its mission, vision, and values. You’ve spent time in meetings evaluating our resources and ensuring that we are being responsible stewards of the gifts we’ve been given. You have taken steps to address and resolve issues in a way that keeps Christ at the center of it all.
“Then the people rejoiced because they had offered so willingly, for they made their offering to the Lord with a whole heart, and King David also rejoiced greatly.” — 1 Chronicles 29:9
The Lord loves a cheerful giver, and we recognize that you have gifted CHURCH NAME generously and willingly from your own resources. Without contributions like yours, we wouldn’t be able to carry out the mission of our church and its various ministries. Your gifts go a long way in supporting the ministries of our church—we recognize this, and we are thankful for it.
“And I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.”
— Jeremiah 3:15
As pastors, we take on the shepherd’s role. It’s our job to seek after the Lord so that we are fed with His knowledge and understanding in order to lead His people.
For INSERT NUMBER of years, you have helped shepherd our church. You have worked to carry out the message and wisdom of Christ to our congregation.
On behalf of the congregation and leadership here at (NAME OF CHURCH), I wanted to send this letter to express our appreciation for visiting us during the Christmas Season for services.
There's a song that speaks of Christmas as “the most wonderful time of the year”, and I truly believe that, but possibly for different reasons expressed within the words and tunes of the song.
