As we are all painfully aware, our community has been devastated by a serious hurricane. While we are thankful that the human toll was low, we must not forget the many members of our community who lost everything they own. For this reason, I am asking those who can to make a special offering that will be used to help the victims of the hurricane.
I can’t imagine what it would be like to lose everything: family photographs, wedding albums, the kid’s first drawings….it would be such a time of trial. To suffer such a loss and to also have to deal with not having the most basic of necessities, such as food, shelter, and clothing would be so difficult.

As Christians, I know you realize that a house is not necessarily a home, but a home is built with great love and an awareness and appreciation to the Lord who is the giver of every good and perfect gift!

I am happy to be able to inform you that on Tuesday, Nov. 24 the Church Board officially accepted you into Membership here at First Christian Church.
As you know, this Sunday, Nov. 30 we will be having a Membership Sunday at which time we will be welcoming all new members publicly during the morning service. I trust you will be able to be here for this special day. You will not be alone as 14 other new members will also join you.

Greetings in the precious name of the Lord! First, let me extend a heartfelt thank you for all of the work you do in our Sunday school. It is true that our children are the future, both in the world and in the church. The time you and the other teachers spend teaching them and nurturing them in the Lord is a true blessing to all of us.
Because teaching children can often present challenges and the need for fresh ideas is ever present, we will be holding a teachers meeting on 1/1/01 at 2:00 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. I am asking that all of our teachers make every effort to be present at the meeting.

I just wanted to write briefly to be sure to wish you a Happy Birthday and to let you know how much you are appreciated.
The Bible says in Psalm 139:13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
What a wonderful thought and realization that from the moment we began to experience life within our mother’s womb that God had a plan and a purpose, and as we stay true to Him, He will accomplish it.
