We thank you for joining us today in the House of God!
Before we join in worship, let’s look at a brief scripture together.
Hebrews 13:15 tells us, “Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.”
This passage is interesting because it refers to worship as a Sacrifice. I think there may be some of you here with us today who are facing some tough trials or difficult times in your life. It’s not always easy to come to church ready to worship God when your heart is heavy or hurting.
This scripture assures us that when we choose to worship God despite difficult circumstances in our lives, it brings Him so much Glory and truly pleases him because we are acknowledging that He is in control and taking a step of faith.
I want to encourage you today to lay down your burdens at Jesus’ feet as you worship and choose to believe in His goodness. We serve a God who is truly faithful. He knows your needs and loves you.
As author and theologian, AW Tozer once said, “What we believe about God is the most important thing about us.” Let’s stand on God’s promises as we worship today and believe in His almighty faithfulness and goodness.
We are so glad that you’re here in the Lord’s House with us! Let us offer up a sacrifice of praise to God together today.
