I just wanted to take a moment to write to you and let you know how happy I was to hear that you are making a genuine effort to restore your relationship.
It is not often today that we hear of this happening, as it often seems to be the easiest thing to just walk away from it all, and “start over”. I wanted to be one of the first to commend you on taking this step, and know that God will meet you as you call out to Him for help and guidance.
It’s not very often that we ask members of the congregation to keep secrets from the pastor and his wife, but this is an exception to that rule. We know the secret will be safe with you!
This month, Pastor and Mrs. Doe will celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary. We thought it would be special if we, as a church family, honored them by hosting a SURPRISE anniversary celebration.
The Bible says to give honor to whom honor is due (Rom 13:7), and we can all agree that our pastor and his family are worthy of honor for all the sacrifices that they have made so that our church can grow.

I am writing to invite you and your spouse to our annual Marriage Seminar at Christian Life Church on Tuesday, May 1st, 2008. Every year, we reach out to the married couples in our congregation to share their experiences as well as receive guidance from our speakers. This will be a warm, informative seminar that is aimed to help with one of the most relationships in life.
I know that sometimes it is hard to hold onto faith and trust in God, especially when things have gone wrong in our lives. Relationships have fallen apart and we can see and feel nothing apart from the hurting of our hearts.
At such times, it is important to remember that God is love and he resides in our hearts. He is feeling everything we feel and it is at these times, if we let him, that God will heal our wounds.

As you look ahead to your marriage, one of the biggest events in your life, I hope that you will consider not only the meaning of marriage in the eyes of society and civil laws, but also the opportunity it gives you to examine the importance and holiness of marriage as a union of two people before God.
