Fourth Sunday in Advent Church Letter or Welcome – Peace

Greetings in Jesus!

Welcome! We are inching ever closer to Christmas day, the day that we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, the light of the world. We are coming to that realization that God is in our midst. As the prophet says:

The Lord, your God, is in your midst, a mighty Savior; He will rejoice over you with gladness, and renew you in His love, He will sing joyfully because of you, as one sings at festivals.  Zephaniah 3:17

The fourth week in Advent is traditionally the week of peace. Christians often refer to Jesus as the “Prince of Peace,” and the Psalms are full of references to God bestowing peace upon his people, as the Psalmist writes:

Thanksgiving Letter – Take Time to be Thankful

Thanksgiving Greetings!

The Psalmist writes in Psalm 95:1-2 (NKJV) 1 Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. 2 Let us come before His presence with Thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with Psalms.

Thank You to Veterans for Serving

Dear Veteran,

On behalf of the leadership and congregation of (NAME OF CHURCH), I would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation for your service in the Military.

We, as a Nation have often been complacent in our expression of thanks for the fact that so many, like you, have served to provide the protection and freedoms we enjoy as Americans.

With our freedom to worship God seemingly always under attack both from outside forces and those inside America, I believe we as churches should be the first to line up and say, “Thank You”!

Thanksgiving Letter – Count Your Blessings

Thanksgiving Greetings!

God is good all the time, and all the time, God is good!

While a statement like that may sound a bit “cliche,” we must realize it's true! Much of the world considers Thanksgiving as just another excuse to throw a party or watch football all day, we, as believers, know it goes far deeper than that.

In addition, we know that Thanksgiving is not just a “day,” but it's a mindset! The Bible shares many scriptures on the importance of being thankful, giving thanks, and even entering into times of worship WITH thanksgiving!

Psalm 100:4 (NKJV) 4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him and bless His name.
