I just wanted to take a moment to send you a note to thank you for your hospitality, and our visit together this past week in your home.
With the “busy-ness” of our world, it's not often easy to take time out for such a visit but you made time, and I want you to know how appreciative I am of that fact.
We are fast approaching the holiday season, with all of its warm thoughts and friendly smiles. All around the world, people are immersing themselves in the spirit of the season. I wanted to send you and your family my best wishes during this time.
We both know that Christmas is more than just a holiday; it is a holy day. It is a time when we are most reminded of God’s gift to the world of his only son, the Christ child, to raise us up out of our condition into Grace. I know that with all of the shopping and cooking and merriment, our most important priority as Christians can be unintentionally obscured. It is important to remember the story of our Savior’s birth in order to regain clarity.
