I trust you are doing well in your new environment, and that you're enjoying the blessings of the Lord in your life as never before.  We sure do miss you here at (NAME OF CHURCH), but rest in the Lord's will for your life, and our church.

This is a very awkward letter for me to have to send to you, however, I need to be diligent in my efforts to be a good steward over the financial health and welfare of the church body here at (NAME OF CHURCH).

Broken Engagement Encouragement Note

I know that sometimes it is hard to hold onto faith and trust in God, especially when things have gone wrong in our lives.   Relationships have fallen apart and we can see and feel nothing apart from the hurting of our hearts.

At such times, it is important to remember that God is love and he resides in our hearts.  He is feeling everything we feel and it is at these times, if we let him, that God will heal our wounds.

Have you heard of the man who claims and boasts of being the #1 NBA fan, and makes pro basketball his top priority? Listen to what he wrote in a national sports magazine recently.

April and May are not only my favorite months because of the NBA play-offs but they are my credit card company’s favorite months too. I’ll bet the credit card people think we celebrate Christmas in May instead of December at our house. Airline tickets, motel rooms, play-off tickets, meals… All of it adds up in a hurry. But quite frankly Christmas for me can’t hold a candle to the NBA play-offs.”
