Giving Thanks in All Seasons — A Thanksgiving 2025 Pastoral Letter

Giving Thanks in All Seasons — A Thanksgiving 2025 Pastoral Letter
Scripture: “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NKJV)

Dear Beloved Church Family,

As Thanksgiving 2025 approaches, my heart turns once again to the beautiful reminder the Apostle Paul gives us: “In everything give thanks.” This simple phrase carries profound weight. It calls us not only to give thanks for the blessings we can see, but to give thanks in every season of life — trusting that God’s hand is at work even when His plan is not yet fully visible.

This year has brought its share of joys and challenges, yet through it all, I have witnessed the unmistakable evidence of God’s grace in our church. I’ve seen it in the warm fellowship of our gatherings, in the compassion shared with those in need, in the strength offered during times of difficulty, and in the way you continually lift one another in prayer. I am truly humbled and grateful to shepherd a congregation whose heart for the Lord is so evident.

A Thanksgiving Message of Gratitude and Grace — 2025

A Thanksgiving Message of Gratitude and Grace — 2025
Scripture: “Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” — Psalm 107:1 (NKJV)

Dear Church Family,

As we enter this Thanksgiving season of 2025, my heart is filled with gratitude for each one of you. Thanksgiving is a time of year when we slow down, look around, and remember the countless ways God has shown His goodness in our lives. And when I reflect on our church family, I am reminded once again of the enduring truth of Psalm 107:1 — the Lord is indeed good, and His mercy truly does endure forever.

This year, we have seen God’s faithfulness in the quiet moments and in the unexpected blessings. We have prayed together, worshiped together, served together, and walked together through joys and challenges. What a privilege it is to be part of a body where Christ is honored, the Word is cherished, and love is shared so freely.

Join Us This Sunday as We Honor Our Veterans

Join Us This Sunday as We Honor Our Veterans

Dear [First Name],

This Sunday, [Date], we will set aside a special time during our morning worship service to honor and thank the veterans who have served our nation. These brave men and women have answered the call of duty, often at great personal cost, to defend the freedoms and values we hold dear.

As followers of Christ, we understand the power of sacrifice. The courage shown by our veterans reflects a spirit of service that echoes the words of our Lord in John 15:13,

“Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.”

Invitation to Honor Our Veterans This Sunday

Honoring Our Veterans This Sunday

Dear [First Name],

This coming Sunday, [Date], we will take a special moment during our worship service to honor and recognize the veterans among us—those who have faithfully served our nation with courage, sacrifice, and dedication.

As a church, we are deeply grateful for the men and women who have worn the uniform of our country and stood in defense of the freedoms we hold dear. Their example reminds us of the words of Jesus in John 15:13,

“Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.”

Invitation to Share on Church Wall of Thanks

Greetings in Christ!

As we draw closer to the Holiday Season in which we celebrate a time of thankfulness just prior to remembering and appreciating the birth of our Savior, we thought it would be nice to observe the Thanksgiving season in a unique way.

During the month of November we will dedicate space on one of our walls in the church foyer as a “Wall of Thanks”. On this space we will hang paper, and we are asking each and every person who would like to share a thought, testimonial or drawing of what they are thankful for by using the supplied colored pencils to share.
