Honoring Our Pastor on Pastor Appreciation Day – Double Honor

Dear Church Family,

“Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching.” —1 Timothy 5:17

This Scripture reminds us that those who faithfully serve in church leadership are not only to be respected, but to be given “double honor.” In context, Paul was teaching that spiritual leaders who devote themselves to shepherding, teaching, and caring for the flock are worthy of both respect and tangible support. They pour out their lives in service, often behind the scenes, and it is both biblical and right for the church family to encourage and bless them in return.

This Sunday—Let’s Honor Our Pastor with Gratitude

Dear Church Family,

“Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you… Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work.” (1 Thessalonians 5:12–13)

This Sunday, October 12, 2025, is Pastor Appreciation Day. It’s a simple, special opportunity to say “thank you” for faithful preaching, teaching, prayer, and shepherding throughout the year.
