Mother’s Day is always one of the “highlight” Sundays of the year for a church. Often, a Mother will request that her children attend service with her. Possibly there may be grown children who attend your church and use this day as a way to invite her!
The possibilities are endless for making this a great day. Take some time to recognize Mothers during the church service. Some churches give carnations or other special flowers or plants to them as they leave.
Keep in mind is that there are those within the service who may have wanted to be Moms but were not able. The reasons could be many for that, but this should be an open door to speak compassion and support. Yet, don’t let it hold you back from honoring Moms during the Mother’s Day service.
You could send a letter to follow up with a visiting Mother or an invitation to Mother’s Day Service.
Take the time to modify an invitation to a Mother Daughter Banquet and be sure to get the word out in plenty of time!

Parenting is a tough job! As a single parent, the challenges of raising children by yourself can be particularly difficult. Not only are you a sympathetic and loving mother, but also a disciplinarian and provider at the same time. With so many demands and expectations placed on you, it is no wonder that being a single parent can be very stressful.
With Mother's Day fast approaching, I wanted to be sure to take this opportunity to extend a special invitation to all Mothers to attend services here at First Christian Church.
I wanted to take a moment to send a letter of invitation to attend a special service in honor of Mothers here at First Christian Church on Mother's Day, June 15th which will begin at 10:30 AM.
We believe it is of great value to take time out of our busy lives and schedules to recognize those who have given so much in sacrifice and love.
