I write this letter on behalf of the entire congregation here at (Name of Church) to extend an invitation to join us for a very special service this Memorial Day Weekend.
During this service, we want to designate time to appreciate the sacrifice of those who have served, and lost their lives in wars to defend our nation.
1 Corinthians 13:13 (NKJV) 13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Valentine's Day is February 14th (as always), but this year February 14th is on a Sunday!
Jesus says in Matthew 22:39, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” But we know that it's preceded by another and greater commandment. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.”
While we realize Valentine's Day's primary purpose is the expression of love between each other, the foundation for the kind of love God wants us to have is in the Word of God!
(Idea – Use this letter with a gift card to a gas station, etc.)
Warm Greetings!
On behalf of a grateful congregation here at (NAME OF CHURCH), I wanted to take this opportunity to express our appreciation for your service to our Nation as a veteran of the Armed Forces.
We must never take for granted the sacrifice of our veterans in addition to the willingness of family members who have been willing to part with those they love for a period of time.
Whether you are a regular attendee or this is your first time with us, we wanted to make sure you know how much we appreciate you joining for worship today here at (NAME OF CHURCH)!
Today is recognized nationally as Grandparents Day, and we wanted to just take this opportunity to express our love and appreciation to all the Grandparents in attendance.
