I am writing you to personally deliver the news that as of (date), I will be stepping down from my post as youth pastor at Christian Life Church. I assure you that this was not an easy decision, but it is time for me to move on to the next steps in God’s plan for my life.
Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
I wanted to take this opportunity to briefly introduce myself to you, and to let you know that I have been asked by the leadership here at (NAME OF CHURCH) to fill the role of Christian Education Director here at the church.
I trust you are doing well at this wonderful time of the year as we celebrate the advent of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
What an amazing thought it is, to know that the Son of God humbled Himself over 2,000 years ago and came to this earth in the form of a child, born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life, died, yet rose again because the power of death could not hold Him!
I just wanted to take a moment to send you a note to thank you for your tireless and devoted efforts in our Church Nursery.
Without a doubt, we often get so busy in all of our ministries, we don’t take the time to just appreciate what others are doing, yet I know the ministry you are involved with is of vital importance to the overall effectiveness of our church here in this community.
Some Sunday mornings as I prepare for service, I look out the window and I see the church bus pulling in, packed with children from our community. It always makes me smile, but when I stop and really think about what it means, it brings tears to my eyes.
These are children that may not otherwise be brought to church. They may never attend Sunday School, never get baptized, never learn that Jesus loves them. As a pastor, I can’t do everything that needs to be done. That is why God put faithful members like you in First Christian Church.
