I am writing to express to you my appreciation and that of the members of my congregation for the work that you do each day in making our community a safer place to live.
We know that being a firefighter is a tough job and we are often slow to acknowledge the great job that you do in protecting our lives and property. Every time you are called to fight a fire, you and your fellow firefighters put your own lives at risk, whether it be from smoke inhalation, falling debris or in rescuing someone trapped inside a burning building.
