When we study Matthew Chapter 6, we see that the Lord talked about material needs which they had then, and we have now. Needs for things such as food and clothing. Of course, there are other needs, such as shelter and love, and more, yet the principle of Matthew 6 shows that God is a providing God.

Well, it's that time of year again! Christmas is such a wonderful and joyous occasion as we celebrate the birth of Christ by giving gifts (and receiving some too), as well as spending time with families and loved ones, and so much more.
This letter is just a little reminder that while we are so blessed to share in the joys of Christmas, it can also be a very difficult time for families struggling financially during tough times.

While we are thankful that the human toll was low, we must not forget the many members of our community who lost everything they own. News outlets are doing a tremendous job in sharing the details of this disaster, and it seems that each day provides more insight into the plight of the people of Haiti.
Governments are springing into action, and of course, the United States continues to take the lead in situations such as this, especially with the reality that this is a very close neighbor.
