These Church Discipleship Letters are intended to assist Pastors and Churches in the important task of helping new believers grow in Christ!
Written by a Pastor with over 35 years of ministry experience, they will be a great addition to your follow up efforts to reach your community for Christ!
Greetings in the precious name of Jesus! I can’t tell you how great a pleasure it has been to watch your family become a part of this church. Each one of you add so much, and I consider it a blessing from God that you are with us.
I wanted to let you know that we will soon be starting baptismal classes, and I am extending a personal invitation to your entire family to attend these classes and to learn what it means to “put on Christ” in this special way.
I wanted to take a moment to send you this letter of encouragement today as you walk through this moment of difficulty in your life. Notice I used the word “moment”, because I believe we are often captivated by what seems to be difficulties that will last “forever”, yet in light of eternity, it is just a moment!
The Bible says in Romans 8:28: (NKJV) 28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
I write briefly to again congratulate you on your recent Water Baptism here at First Christian Church.
Water Baptism is a vital part of the Christian life, and is a declaration of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It is also a symbol of the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord and declares to the world that you have “died to sin”, yet have risen to new life in Christ. Col. 2:12 “having been buried with him in baptism and raised with him through your faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead.”
I wanted to take a moment to send this letter to congratulate you on your recent completion of Confirmation Classes here at First Christian Church.
You have taken the time to attend these classes to learn more about the Christian faith including the very important doctrines (beliefs) of the church. I believe with this knowledge you have received, coupled with your heart relationship with Christ, you have become better able to handle many of the difficulties that will come your way in the coming years.
