John 1:14 says: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
What a wonderful blessing it is to know the Christ of Christmas! While so many in the world move toward the statement “Happy Holidays”,
The Bible prophesied of the coming of our Savior this way in Isaiah 9:6: “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
It is with a sense of thanksgiving and gratitude that I write to you during the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. As this letter is being written many wonderful things have been taking place in our church and for this our hearts are overjoyed.
I write briefly to let you know how much we appreciated the presentation of (Adult Christmas Cantata) this past week at First Christian Church.
I know that it takes great dedication to organize an event such as this, and you are to be commended for the fine job you and the Choir have done in sharing the Christmas message in song and drama. I am sure it served as great inspiration for many of the family and friends of the children, as well as the many people who assembled here at FCC for the presentation.
The greatest announcement the world has ever received is found in Luke 2:10-12 – But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. [11] Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. [12] This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
