Thanksgiving Letter – The Forgotten Holiday?

Thanksgiving Greetings!

The Bible tells of a beautiful story of Jesus providing miraculous healings for ten individuals suffering from Leprosy. This amazing story is found in Luke 17:11-19, and while it shares the incredible fact that Jesus is our healer, it also gives a powerful lesson on thankfulness.

If you take time to read the story, you will see that out of the ten who experienced healing from this horrible disease, only one of them took the opportunity to turn around and thank Jesus face to face.

Luke 17:15-16 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, 16 and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.

Invitation to Share on Church Wall of Thanks

Greetings in Christ!

As we draw closer to the Holiday Season in which we celebrate a time of thankfulness just prior to remembering and appreciating the birth of our Savior, we thought it would be nice to observe the Thanksgiving season in a unique way.

During the month of November we will dedicate space on one of our walls in the church foyer as a “Wall of Thanks”. On this space we will hang paper, and we are asking each and every person who would like to share a thought, testimonial or drawing of what they are thankful for by using the supplied colored pencils to share.

Thanksgiving Letter to Church

Thanksgiving Greetings!

Most of us who have or have had Children started teaching them the basics as they were in their formative years. We taught them to say “please” when they wanted something, but we also taught them to say “thank you” upon receiving a blessing.

It wasn't something they were born with, but the more we taught them not only with our words but also with our examples, they began to use these powerful words. And for that, we are thankful!

The Bible tells us in Psalm 107:8-9 – 8 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, 9 for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.

Good Friday Service Invitation – Seven Sayings of the Cross

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Smith:

We serve a RISEN Lord – a man who was sent to this earth as a baby, who walked and lived as a man. He was later crucified and that could have been the end of the story. As a matter of fact some people worship “gods” that lived and died and they celebrate the anniversary of their deaths. However, as Christians we celebrate the life, death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Easter Encouragement Elderly Homebound

Resurrection Greetings!

Here we are again at that beautiful time of year we know as Easter. Many have rightly called it Resurrection Sunday because that gets our focus more on the amazing event that took place on that day so I wanted to take a moment to send you some “Easter Encouragement”!

Jesus Christ rose from the grave!

As we enter this Holiday season, I'm reminded that not everyone can get out of the home to celebrate in person. Whether it be due to illness or advanced age, things are different than they used to be. This time can be quite lonely and challenging, especially as you see others you would like to be with at this time.
