I write briefly to let you know how much we appreciated the presentation of (Adult Christmas Cantata) this past week at First Christian Church.
I know that it takes great dedication to organize an event such as this, and you are to be commended for the fine job you and the Choir have done in sharing the Christmas message in song and drama. I am sure it served as great inspiration for many of the family and friends of the children, as well as the many people who assembled here at FCC for the presentation. The greatest announcement the world has ever received is found in Luke 2:10-12 – But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Logged in Members, CLICK HERE to view and/or copy full text!
Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Isn’t it wonderful to serve the Lord, and know that Jesus is STILL the
Reason for the Season? Never before have we heard so much controversy
over this time of the year, and whether we should be greeted in the
stores with Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, or just a plain “hello” so
that nobody is offended! Logged in Members, CLICK HERE to view and/or copy full text!
I write briefly to express our deepest appreciation for your generosity in donating ________ to First Christian Church during our recent effort to give Turkeys to those who are less fortunate during this time of the year.
While the church prepares diligently to celebrate this wonderful time of the year in which we celebrate the birth of our Savior, I cannot help but realize that this year is the first Christmas you have without your beloved (Father/Mother). We are nearing that wonderful time of the year when we once again celebrate the Resurrection of Christ. This is the one event in hstory that distinguishes Christianity from all other religions. Jesus Christ rose from the grave victorious as King of Kings and Lord of Lords and will one day stand in judgment while others bow down before Him. Someone so accurately reflected about Resurrection Day in this way; “The stone was rolled away from the door, not to permit Christ to come out, but to enable the disciples to go in”.
Death could not hold Him in the grave as he arose victorious on the third day morning! Jesus was, is, and will be alive for all of eternity and for that we are forever grateful because as He lives, we too have everlasting life if we simply accept Him as Savior.
