We serve a RISEN Lord – a man who was sent to this earth as a baby, who walked and lived as a man. He was later crucified and that could have been the end of the story. As a matter of fact some people worship “gods” that lived and died and they celebrate the anniversary of their deaths. However, as Christians we celebrate the life, death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
We are looking forward to celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Easter Sunday, 2021!
While the past year has been challenging in so many ways, we must never forget that over 2,000 years ago Jesus rose from the grave! No tomb could hold our sinless redeemer who had come to take the guilt of sin to the cross just as if He was the one who was the sinner!
The cross was the cruelest of deaths in that day and was reserved only for the most hardened criminals. As we know, Jesus was not at all anything like that, and as a matter of fact, the main thing He was “guilty” of was loving and forgiving sinners!
1 Corinthians 13:13 (NKJV) 13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Valentine's Day is February 14th (as always), but this year February 14th is on a Sunday!
Jesus says in Matthew 22:39, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” But we know that it's preceded by another and greater commandment. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.”
While we realize Valentine's Day's primary purpose is the expression of love between each other, the foundation for the kind of love God wants us to have is in the Word of God!
I trust you are doing well, and experiencing the blessings of the Lord in powerful ways in both your Church and personal life! Isn't God good?
On behalf of the leadership here at (name of church), I wanted to take this opportunity to invite you and your Choir to join with us for 2 nights of praise and worship on Friday, October 28th, from 7:00 to 10:00 PM, and then on Sunday, October 30th beginning at 3:30 PM in the afternoon.
These have certainly been challenging times of late, but there is nothing quite like the power of Gospel Music to bring a sense of the power of God into our lives! We need to know Him more and we are anticipating this will be a life-changing event for everyone in attendance!
Please join us for our LIVE STREAM Church Service!
I know, that sounds a bit different to say the least, but we are in a time right now that has caused us to “make lemonade out of the lemons” that have been given to us!
That might sound like a bit of a negative statement, but in reality, we are starting to reach more people with the message of Christ than ever before!
