On behalf of the entire congregation and leadership here at (NAME OF CHURCH), I wanted to send this note of appreciation to you for your service to our Nation as you serve in the military.

On this Memorial Day weekend, I wanted to be sure to take time to send this letter to let you know we are thinking of you.
On behalf of the entire congregation, my wife and I express our sincerest thanks and appreciation for the sacrifice your family has made through the loss of your loved one while they fought for our freedom.
Happy Easter to you from all of us at INSERT NAME OF CHURCH HERE! As you can imagine, we’ve been busy with Lenten Bible studies, preparing special music for Resurrection Sunday, and all of the usual events that you may remember from Easters past.
We celebrate the resurrection for many reasons: the fulfillment of prophecy, the triumphant joy of knowing our Christ lives, and the eternal promise of love, forgiveness, and freedom we find in Jesus Christ.
I pray that this letter finds you well during your service to your country. As your chaplain, I wanted to write you with some words of encouragement in carrying out your difficult endeavors. Your hard work is appreciated and we pray for your safety in the line of duty.
I just wanted to take a few moments to reach out and offer my support to you and your family during your son/daughter’s service in our armed forces. I feel that it is important to connect personally with the families of soldiers under my guidance as we are brought together in our concern for these brave young men and women.
