Pastors and teachers both assume the awesome honor and responsibility of providing adults with deeper insight and understanding of God’s Word. As we both know, this job is satisfying, demanding, and challenging.
Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still; teach the righteous and they will add to their learning.
–Proverbs 9:9
“Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.”
— Colossians 3:16
For years, you have helped bring the message and wisdom of Christ to our congregation. Through thoughtful planning, you have carried forth the good news of each season through the choir’s songs. Your musical direction has lifted the hearts of our people, inspired them to walk more closely with the Lord, and enhanced our weekly services.
On behalf of the staff and congregation of First Christian Church, I want to take the time to say Thank you for your devotion and service to the FCC over the years.
It is said that with age comes wisdom, and as a church family, we have been so abundantly blessed with your wisdom and insight over the years. Your rich history and faithful testimony are a source of great joy and blessing to us here at First Christian Church, and although you are no longer able to join us on Sunday mornings, we want to make sure that you know just how loved and appreciated you are. Some of the highlights of your long and dedicated service include:
On behalf of the congregation of FCC, I want to take this opportunity to say Thank you for your willingness to serve as a Church Board Member during this upcoming year.
As a body, we have been blessed with your wisdom and dedication to the church, serving faithfully and always reaching above and beyond what is asked of you to help further the Kingdom of God. Your passion for bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world is evident in everything you do, and we are so blessed to have your experience and wisdom as we seek new ways to reach out to our community and our world.
On behalf of the staff and congregation of First Christian Church, I want to congratulate you and wish you all the best on your recent election victory.
We are living in tumultuous times, and it takes great courage and sacrifice to be willing to step forward and lead as we navigate these rough waters. Our prayer for you as a congregation is that you can not only lead by example but also surround yourself with those who would give wise counsel.
