Dear Church Family, I am writing to ask for your help. I have a very exciting opportunity to go on a short-term missions trip to <name of country>. For a long time, it has been my dream to be able to minister to people who really need the Lord, and I ask for your prayers as I step through this “open door”.
The Bible admonishes all of us to “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” (Matt 28:19). It is so important for all us to be able to share with people about God’s love, and visiting <name of country> is a great chance for me to do just that.
I wanted to take this opportunity to send a note to let you know that we will be in prayer for Tom and Mary as they begin their new life together in marriage.
I am sure this past week (and even few months) has been a time of great challenge for you as you have seen the day on the horizon when your “child” would soon become a “husband/wife”.
What a blessing it was to meet you during your recent visit. We love it when members of our youth congregation feel comfortable enough to invite their friends to join us for worship, or some other special event, and were thrilled to have the opportunity to meet you, and hope that you’ll visit us again soon!
It’s been exciting to watch our youth program expand and mature these last few years, and would like to invite you to share in the many youth opportunities for study, worship and just plain fellowship First Christian Church offers our community’s teens and young adults.
I'm writing this letter to wish you a Happy First Anniversary.
It seems like only yesterday you stood before me reciting (from the heart) vows, exchanged rings and kisses and journeyed into this great union of marriage which you have now experienced for a year.
On behalf of my wife, the church board, and the entire congregation, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you as you celebrate your Silver Wedding Anniversary.
In this day and age we live in of cheapening the importance and value of the God-ordained institution of marriage (between a man and a woman), it is an awesome thing to see couples like you celebrating 25 years of marriage.
