Once again we are nearing that wonderful time of year in which we express our thanks and appreciation to God for all His blessings in our lives as we celebrate Thanksgiving.
Some may look at Thanksgiving as a quick holiday before the Christmas Season, but in reality, this is an extremely meaningful time as we who have been created by God show our gratitude.
I wanted to take a moment to send you this letter of invitation to Revival Services with Evangelist (FIRST NAME, LAST NAME), which will be held here at FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH on OCTOBER 20-23.
Rev. _____________ will be ministering on Sunday morning, and will continue the services each night beginning at 7:00 PM.
It's somewhat amazing to me that we often don't hear the term “Revival Services” used as much today as just a few years ago, yet if there is ever a day the church is in need of Revival, it is today!
Isaiah reminds us that God's presence is not only in the “high and holy place”, but it is also with “him who is contrite and lowly in spirit” as we read in Isaiah 57:15 (NIV) 15 For this is what the high and lofty One says– he who lives forever, whose name is holy: “I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.
We are thrilled to have so many with us today who are the first to respond to our call in times of need. While we hope we never have to make that call, it's always comforting to know that help is a matter of minutes away. There have been a few times over the years we've even had to call for help even after gathering here for Church on a Sunday.
NOTE: This letter, and ALL letters in our Disaster Relief Category are FREE for Churches to use and modify as needed for your communication with your congregation. If posted on another website, we do require the credit information at the bottom to be posted as well with a link to our website.
Dear Friends,
I greet you in the Name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Many of you have watched as I have, the heartbreaking video and pictures of the effects of Hurricane Dorian. While some of the States on the Eastern Coastline have been impacted, the most devastating impact has taken place in the Bahamas. The beauty of these islands have been ravished. Lives have been taken and while they can never be replaced, we can do our part to alleviate long-term suffering.
I’m of the firm belief that the church leads the way and sets the example in situations like this. We have helped in the past, we should do our best to help again.
