Hurricane Dorian Church Offering Appeal Letter

Many of you have watched as I have, the heartbreaking video and pictures of the effects of Hurricane Dorian. While some of the States on the Eastern Coastline have been impacted, the most devastating impact has taken place in the Bahamas. The beauty of these islands have been ravished. Lives have been taken and while they can never be replaced, we can do our part to alleviate long-term suffering.

I’m of the firm belief that the church leads the way and sets the example in situations like this. We have helped in the past, we should do our best to help again.

Church Anniversary Service Invitation

Dear Friends,

On Sunday, (DATE), we as a church will be holding a special church anniversary service.

We will be commemorating 100 years of ministry at First Christian Church.

We are planning to hold one service that morning instead of our usual two, and our time will be followed by a catered luncheon downstairs in the Fellowship Hall and then Christmas caroling in the neighborhood. First Christian Church has ministered to our community for more than 100 years.

During that time, we have been led by nine pastors (four of whom will be joining our celebration). We have occupied three different buildings and been blessed by thousands of people who have chosen to make us their church home for a time.

Back to School Letter from Pastor to Teacher

Dear Teachers,

Another school year has begun, and I want to take the time to encourage you as you go back to school and begin again in the classroom.

As their teacher, you have the unique privilege of being the hands and feet of Jesus to your students… and for some, you may be the first person who has ever done so. Your students will come to you from all walks of life, and I want to encourage you to take the time to get to know them and to get to know their stories.
