These Pastor Appreciation Letter Samples are a great way for Churches to bless those who are serving the Lord in the calling of Pastor.
The Bible encourages us to “give honor where honor is due”. We believe this is both a wonderful thing to do, but also comes with great blessing for church leadership.
These letters are written by a Pastor with over 35 years of ministry experience. They will be a great addition to ministry efforts!
We are thrilled to announce that we here at (NAME OF CHURCH) will be celebrating an extraordinary milestone, and we would be so honored if you would consider joining us.
Pastor (NAME) has labored faithfully for 50 years here at our church. He and his wife have been consistent witnesses of the love of Jesus Christ here in this community and region. For that, we are so thankful.
On Sunday, (DATE) at (TIME), we will be hosting a special service in his honor and as a way to say “thank you” for serving us and this area so well. It's not often a church can celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the ministry of a Pastor, but we can, and we will!
I wanted to take a moment to send you this note on behalf of the committee here at First Christian Church as we look forward to celebrating Pastor Appreciation Day during the month of October.
One of the things we would like to do for our Pastoral Staff is to receive a Love Offering as we show our affection and appreciation for our pastors and their families.
We will be receiving this love offering on Sunday morning, October 7 in our morning service. Of course, this is just one of the ways that we as a church body can appreciate those in leadership over us, and we would encourage you as well to bring a card expressing your personal appreciation for their ministry.
We are looking forward to honoring our Pastor(s) at a Pastor Appreciation Service on (DATE) at (TIME). We are of the firm belief that God will bless a church that honors and blesses their Pastor and that's exactly what we want to do!
With this in mind, we know that you are a friend of Pastor (NAME) and while we are certainly not looking for a “roast”, we know it would be appropriate to share some stories that would have a touch of humor but also show the loving heart of Pastor (NAME).
“And I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.”
— Jeremiah 3:15
As pastors, we take on the shepherd’s role. It’s our job to seek after the Lord so that we are fed with His knowledge and understanding in order to lead His people.
For INSERT NUMBER of years, you have helped shepherd our church. You have worked to carry out the message and wisdom of Christ to our congregation.
Depending on how well you know me or pay attention to my sermons, you might think that my mom/parents brought me up well, or you might think I was raised in a barn. Of course, I’d like to think that you believe the former over the latter!
For what it’s worth, my mom/parents taught me to always send a thank-you note when someone has given a gift to me, whether that was a present with a bow, a check for my birthday, or an act of love and kindness.
