Mother’s Day is always one of the “highlight” Sundays of the year for a church. Often, a Mother will request that her children attend service with her. Possibly there may be grown children who attend your church and use this day as a way to invite her!
The possibilities are endless for making this a great day. Take some time to recognize Mothers during the church service. Some churches give carnations or other special flowers or plants to them as they leave.
Keep in mind is that there are those within the service who may have wanted to be Moms but were not able. The reasons could be many for that, but this should be an open door to speak compassion and support. Yet, don’t let it hold you back from honoring Moms during the Mother’s Day service.
