Well, it’s almost that time of year again for our youth and children here at FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH…Camp Time!
If you had the opportunity to go to Bible Camp when you were growing up, you know what a powerful, life-changing experience it can be. I know that for me, it was something I looked forward to on an annual basis as my parents did everything within their power to make it happen.
What a tremendous privilege you have to work with the Children and Youth of our Community!
So often, I have heard of the great impact that sports, and more specifically, a coach has had on the development of not only an athlete, but also as that athlete takes on the role of adult as they work in their jobs and careers later in life.
We are so grateful to you for allowing us to minister to your children each week here at (NAME OF CHURCH) through our Children's Ministries
Programs, Royal Rangers and MPact Girls Clubs.
Once a year we have the great joy of hosting an Awards Night at which time we recognize and appreciate the children for all of their diligent efforts throughout the year.
As a church, our desire has not only been to disciple adults for ministry but also to reach, teach and keep the next generation of children and youth as they grow into adults.
We have a wonderful ministry to girls right here at (NAME OF CHURCH) which meets on a weekly basis on (DAY OF WEEK) at (TIME).
This Girls Ministries church-based discipleship program has a legacy of godly women coming alongside girls, guiding them on a path to becoming mature and holy women. No other girls ministry program has our variety of activities, focused discipleship track, or a 60-plus-year proven track record of helping girls become confident, godly women who are leaders in the church, home, and world.
I want to take this opportunity to invite you to consider sending your children to our Awana program here at (NAME OF CHURCH).
This ministry outreach meets every Wednesday evening at 7 PM at the same time that our Bible study takes place for the adults in the main sanctuary.
God has blessed this church with some wonderful leaders who enjoy working with the children as they lead them to a closer relationship with Christ. So often, we hear that children and youth are the church of tomorrow; however, we believe they are a vital part of the church of today. Many of them will become our leaders tomorrow, so it is essential that we teach them the ways of Christ.
The tremendous value that our children provide to the church far outweighs any kind of difficulties or expenses associated with the ministry. We live in a society that desperately needs to share the Good News of the Gospel with the next generation.
While this quote from Ronald Reagan refers to America's call to share with the next generation, it also applies to the Gospel: “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.”
