A good church greeting, or church welcome can have a number of values. Here are a few:
Hospitality: A warm and friendly greeting can make visitors feel welcome and accepted at a church. This can be especially important for those who may be new to the church or who may be visiting for the first time.
Community: Greetings can help to create a sense of community and belonging within the church. By actively reaching out and greeting others, church members can show that they care about each other and are invested in building relationships.
Inclusivity: A welcoming greeting can help to create an inclusive and diverse environment within the church. This can be especially important for those who may feel marginalized or excluded in other areas of society.
Evangelism: A friendly greeting can also be an opportunity to share the love of Christ with others. By welcoming people with a warm and open heart, church members can show the love of God to those around them and potentially lead others to a relationship with Jesus.
Overall, a good church greeting, or church welcome can help to create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere within the church, which can be beneficial for both members and visitors.
David said these words in Psalms 34:3 “O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.”
If you are like me, you have had a magnifying glass in your hand at one time or another. Does a magnifying glass make an object bigger? No, of course not! Yet, it makes the object seem bigger to us. I believe David knew that when we praise God, we are in effect magnifying Him.
Welcome to our service here at (NAME OF CHURCH)! The Bible tells us in Psalms 100:4-5 (KJV) 4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
When we read a scripture like that, one does not even have to “guess” what kind of attitude we need to have as we enter the House of the Lord to worship Christ!
Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ! With so many holiday events upon us, we are thankful to come together on this first Sunday of Advent at INSERT NAME OF CHURCH HERE in order to pray, worship, and reflect on Christ, the true reason behind the holiday season.
Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ! Thank you for celebrating this Palm Sunday with us at INSERT NAME OF CHURCH HERE.
Today is a day of celebration for many reasons. Certainly, gathering together to worship our Lord is indeed a celebration! We also begin our final week of the Lenten season today,
Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ!
