Church Welcome – First Sunday of Year

On this first Sunday of (YEAR), we want to welcome you today to (Name of Church)!

Whether you are here in person or watching online, we pray that you will take the time to put aside the distractions of this past week, and even past year and get your focus on Jesus!

Psalm 122:1 says; I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord. Isn't it great to be in the house of the Lord today?

Most likely you are like the rest of us here who are absolutely thrilled to say “good-bye” to a year that presented challenges we've never seen before! I have no doubt there are many things you would like to forget, but hopefully there are many more things you want to remember.

New Year Letter – One Day at a Time

New Year Greetings!

There's a beautiful scripture I would like to share with you that no doubt you have read or sung at one point in your walk with the Lord. Psalm 118:24 says, “This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.”

While I have little doubt that the vast majority of us are happy to see the year (YEAR) in the “rear-view mirror,” so to speak, we know that the simple changing of a calendar will not fix everything wrong in our world.

Warm Christian Greetings! John 1:14 says: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

We do not need to be “shy” or even “politically correct” about it! He has done so much for us, and while we could never repay Him, we do offer our lives as living sacrifices to be used for His glory. (Romans 12:1)

What a wonderful blessing it is to know the Christ of Christmas! While so many in the world move toward the statement “Happy Holidays”, we as Christians know that the Christmas Season is truly the time we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

While this year has been different to say the least, and even more different than any year in our memory, we can genuinely stand here and say today that Jesus Christ never changes! Isn't it wonderful to know that regardless of the circumstances or storms around us that He stays constant and faithful?

Hebrews 13:8 (NKJV) 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

In a world that seems to be changing by the moment, I'm so glad we have this Solid Rock to build our lives on here and for all eternity!
