It is with great joy that I write to you upon your re-dedication to Christ and commitment to follow Him for the rest of your life.
Without a doubt, our lives are filled with not only great times of rejoicing, but as you know, there are times of tremendous trial and difficult circumstances. There is a short saying that simply says; “God is good… ALL the time!” I believe this is more than just a “catchy” phrase, but indeed is Biblical as we read in: Romans 8:28 – “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose”Logged in Members, CLICK HERE to view and/or copy full text!
I was thrilled to see you back in church, and I was even more thrilled to learn that you are very serious about lining your life back up with God’s will. It’s not always an easy thing to come back to God once we’ve made mistakes. I want you to know that God is pleased with your decision, and I am very proud of you for taking this first step. It was thrilling to hear of your decision, and I want to be one of the first to let you know that it is by far the most important choice you will ever make. I wanted to take a moment to send you this letter of encouragement today as you walk through this moment of difficulty in your life. Notice I used the word “moment”, because I believe we are often captivated by what seems to be difficulties that will last “forever”, yet in light of eternity, it is just a moment! I write briefly to again congratulate you on your recent Water Baptism here at First Christian Church.
Water Baptism is a vital part of the Christian life, and is a declaration of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It is also a symbol of the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord and declares to the world that you have “died to sin”, yet have risen to new life in Christ. Col. 2:12 “having been buried with him in baptism and raised with him through your faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead.” Logged in Members, CLICK HERE to view and/or copy full text!
