I write briefly to express our deepest appreciation for your generosity in donating ________ to First Christian Church during our recent effort to give Turkeys to those who are less fortunate during this time of the year.
Along with gifts from area businesses and the generous gifts of individuals, we were able to give over 200 Turkeys away during our December Food Distribution.
While the church prepares diligently to celebrate this wonderful time of the year in which we celebrate the birth of our Savior, I cannot help but realize that this year is the first Christmas you have without your beloved (Father/Mother).
We are nearing that wonderful time of the year when we once again celebrate the Resurrection of Christ. This is the one event in history that distinguishes Christianity from all other religions. With Father's Day fast approaching, I wanted to be sure to take this opportunity to extend a special invitation to all Fathers to attend services here at First Christian Church.
What is the most powerful word in the English language? Is it “honor” or “love” or “country”? Maybe it's “sacrifice.”
