On behalf of the entire team of leadership here at First Christian Church, I wanted to send this letter of invitation to you and your family to attend our special Anniversary Celebration Service.
As you may know, this year is our __________th Anniversary as a Church, and we want to be sure that we mark this occasion with the recognition worthy of such a milestone.
I am writing to express to you my appreciation and that of the members of my congregation for the work that you do each day in making our community a safer place to live.
We know that being a firefighter is a tough job and we are often slow to acknowledge the great job that you do in protecting our lives and property. Every time you are called to fight a fire, you and your fellow firefighters put your own lives at risk, whether it be from smoke inhalation, falling debris or in rescuing someone trapped inside a burning building.
On behalf of the leadership and congregation of First Christian Church, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for having representation from (Department Name) at our Emergency Personnel Appreciation Day on Sunday, September 14th 2008.
