This coming Sunday we will be holding a Mortgage Burning Ceremony at our church and would like to invite you to join us for this momentous occasion. It is a grateful and exciting time in the life of our church because it represents a time of completeness and a fulfilling of God’s promise that His “grace is sufficient to meet all of our needs.” (II Corinthians 12:9)
On Sunday evening, May 15th at 6:00 P.M., our church will be hosting a retirement dinner and banquet for Pastor Mark Smith. We hope you will join us for this time of recognition for Pastor Mark and his selfless service to our church over the course of the past twenty-five years.
Congratulations on your completion of your graduate studies. What a huge accomplishment. After many long hours of hard work and dedication, it has paid off for you. I rejoice with you in what you have achieved and pray that it will benefit and bless your career objectives.
This year as we celebrate July 4th, Independence Day, let us remember the men and women who have fought and died for the freedom that we enjoy in this country each and every day.
There is much to be said for freedom. Freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom to be whom and what we choose to be are all a part of the American Dream. With freedom came a great price for many who have gone on before us and we must always be grateful to them.
First Methodist of Monroe, where we are members is hosting an Annual Friends Day on Sunday, __________ at our 10:30 church worship service. It is always a wonderful time of fellowship and fun.
